Synopsis

A terminally ill man undergoes a groundbreaking cryonic procedure to extend his life, but as the future he hopes for becomes a reality, the emotional toll threatens to unravel the family he's fighting to preserve.

The In-Between is a science fiction drama that takes place over twenty years, exploring the devastating cost of trying to cheat death. When mathematics professor Sidney Veils is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, he makes a controversial choice: to freeze himself and return periodically, hoping medical science will catch up to save him. But each time he wakes, he finds his family has aged without him — his children growing up, his wife moving on, and the world becoming increasingly unfamiliar.

As Sidney clings to the hope of a cure, his family must grapple with a unique form of grief — mourning someone who isn't quite gone, saying goodbye over and over again. The In-Between is an intimate examination of time, mortality, and what it truly means to be alive.
